How many years of the future do we lose when courage gives way to conformity?
Every technological revolution is told through its winners, but we rarely hear about the innovations that could have changed the world much earlier if they hadn't been ignored by those in power. The core problem lies in a decision-making culture that too often favors conformity over vision, and the "yesman" over those who propose real change. When a decision-maker chooses the most reassuring path, it is the entire society that loses.
